Semi Precious: Weardale's Industrial Migration Stories, an eighteen month Heritage Lottery Funded project celebrating industrial migration in Weardale. Throughout 2008 – 2009, Semi Precious enlisted volunteers to research and interpret the changing dynamic of the people in the dale in the C18th and C19th linked to the lead mining and quarrying industries. Artists collected stories and interpreted them for family events at Killhope Museum and Harehope Quarry Project, Frosterley. Local primary schools also made art work and animations about these stories, contributing to a short film and exhibition at Killhope Museum in 2009. Visit the GALLERY page to view pictures.
